I’m so excited to announce the newest Spotlight Organization: James Storehouse Louisiana! For every Courageous Coloring book or workbook sold in September, another workbook will be donated to a girl in foster care who is served by JSL.

James Storehouse Louisiana is a non-profit organization that supports children in foster care and those aging out of the foster care system in Southeastern Louisiana by providing resources that will ease transitions and improve living conditions. James Storehouse Louisiana encourages awareness and motivates community participation in support of children in foster care. They offer a full-service, boutique-style resource center where foster children, foster parents, social and caseworkers can shop for free.

I love that JSL is committed to supporting young adults who have aged out of the foster care system. Providing things like laptops, textbooks, and home goods help give them the tools they need for a successful transition to independent living.

If you want to learn more about James Storehouse Louisiana, you can visit their website at jslouisiana.org. You can also check out JSL’s Facebook page for ways that you can easily get involved. They often post specific items that foster families need, so even if you don’t live in Louisiana, you can still help!
