The newest spotlight org is Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains, which was founded in 1948. LFSRM offers a wide variety of programs for children and adults in Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. LFSRM currently serves communities through adoption and pregnancy counseling, disaster response, foster care, lifework aging solutions, family support and education, and refugee and asylee services to over 30,000 people every year.

LFSRM’s Foster Care Program’s newest collaboration, Anchor House, will provide affordable housing to youth who have aged out of foster care. The program centers around independent living with a supportive environment to build journeys into adulthood. Each youth tenant will have their own studio apartment with amenities as well as access to financial literacy, home maintenance, career planning, academic support, self-care, and relationship and community building. The Anchor House dedication will be August 19 and LFSRM is currently seeking applicants in Colorado to move in! If you know of any foster youth in Colorado, you can direct them to lfsrm.org/anchorhouse to apply.

This month, purchases made in the MLT online shop will make it possible for more coloring workbooks to be given to girls in foster care who are being served by LFSRM.
